Type of Construction

  1. Concrete Frame structure

  2. Load Bearing Masonry Structure

  3. Wooden Frame Structure

  4. Steel Frame Structure

  5. Light Gauge Steel Structure

  6. Precast Concrete Structure

 1. Concrete Frame Structure:- Concrete Frame Structure is also known as Reinforced concrete structure, concrete frame structure consist Beams,Slab,Column and Foundation etc. In concrete frame structure horizontal members are slab & beam and vertical members are column & foundation.
The concrete frame structure resist various types of loads in its full life. These loads are- Dead Load, Live Load, Wind Load, Earthquake Load, Dynamic Load.
Advantages of Concrete frame Structure:-
 1. Easy & rapid construction.
 2. Economical Construction.
 3. High-Rise Building Construction.
 4. Optimum use of floor space.

2. Load Bearing Masonry Structure:- In Load bearing wall all load is transferred to foundation via load bearing internal and external walls. This type of Construction not use supporting Column or wooden pillar. They are generally characterized by having a small window to wall ratio and internal walls. Due to large stresses within brick or stone walls height of load bearing structure is limited. since the wall takes the load they cannot be moved or removed. the older structure of the 2 or 3 storey were load bearing. this is economical than RCC structure.

3. Wooden Frame Structure:-  Wooden frame structure is the most common method use in construction of building homes and apartments in the United States.

Increasingly, wood framing is also being used in commercial and industrial buildings. Wood frame buildings are economical to build, heat and cool, and provide maximum comfort to occupants. Wood construction is readily adaptable to traditional, contemporary and the most futuristic building styles. Its architectural possibilities are limitless. History has demonstrated the inherent strength and durability of wood frame buildings.
The application of conventional construction rules may be limited by building code requirements in use where the building is being constructed. Conventional construction provisions, as found in this publication, represent techniques with a history of satisfactory performance. Today, some building codes may require a more rigorous structural design methodology than is associated with conventional construction. This requirement may result from a need for better building performance when the structure is exposed to moderate-to-high wind, seismic, and snow loads.

4. Steel Frame Structure:- Steel frame structure is a building construction technique using different components like Horizontal I-beams and vertically steel column. construct in a rectangular grid to support the floors, roof, and walls of the building.
