The Dhola- Sadiya Bridge
The Dhola - Sadiya Bridge is the longest bridge in India and Aisa and to become operational in 26th May 2017.
The Dhola- Sediya Bridge connect the two states Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and is 9.15 km in length.
The Dhola- Sediya Bridge crosses Brahmaputra River and its maintained by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways public private partnership with Navayuga Engineering Company LTD.
The Dhola- Sediya Bridge is 9.15 km in length and 12.9 metre width and the longest span is 50 metre. The Dhola - Sadiya Bridge have 183 Number of spans.
The Dhola- Sadiya Bridge construction start in November 2011. The Dhola- Sadiya Bridge constructed under Highways public private partnership with Navayuga Engineering Company LTD. The project cost around 950 crores Rupees and it will take around 6 years to complete. It is 35% longer than the Bandra- Worli Sea link in Mumbai making it the longest bridge in asia.
The Bridge inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India shri Narendra Modi ji on 26th May 2017.
Importantance of Bridge:-
1. The project serves Important logistics for Military personal for Indo- China Border at Arunachal Pradesh.
2. Reduction of time travel will be 4 hours for this new Bridge project.
3. Reduction in travel time from Dhola gaon to sadiya approximately travel time will be 8 hours through Brahmaputra River ferry water service it takes about 5 hours.
4. It will promte tourism in the Assam and Arunachal.
5. It will increase in border trade between Arunachal and other south Asian Countries.
Technical Features of Bridge :-
1. Precast M50 grade pre- stressed concrete was use in girder segments and Hyper plasticisers use in precast segments to achieve early strength. Short line method and long line method both were used for precasting segment.
2. Transverse pre- stressing was carried out to decrease the dead load of segments.
3. Two type of launcher used for segments launching work.
4. 40 metre long and 1700 & 1500mm diameter bored cast in situ piles used for Foundation in main Bridge.
5. Project design speed is 100kmph.
